The one that takes the first dive taking the risks to get more/

Paving the way for others,

We take the first jump into the sea of opportunities./

Using genetic resources of marine organisms, /

We develop new medicines and materials.//

Breeding new fish species, /

We nurture the fish seed industry.//

With ICT and robotics technologies,/

The sea no longer has limits in depth//

With ever-evolving technologies,/

Our aquaculture is becoming easier and more efficient,/

supporting the livelihood of our fishermen/

and attracting new investments and workforce.//

Ballast water standards,/ e-Navigation,/

Such new maritime safety and environmental regulations

will be our chance to create new industries/

and to realize the creative economy./

But above all this, the marine environment will always remain healthy.//

We are the 21st century’s Admiral Jang Bogo.//

Hoping to see the day

when we become an outlier amongst the world’s maritime powerhouses,

We fully support the development of shipping & logistics industries./

We will ensure each port performs their best to provide services/

and contributes to global logistics networks to better connect to the world. /

While tightly protecting our maritime territory,/

We keep our curious eyes on our waters to learn more. //

Building on what we have learned,/ we set sail for farther waters./

For more prosperous future,/

We explore around the world’s oceans/

and work with the global communities

for the conservation and optimal use of marine living resources//

Walking in line with other players around the world,

We stand ready to upcoming changes

and develop well-designed approaches to explore the Arctic and Antarctica.//

We are the sentinel.//

We keep our ears and eyes on our seas around the clock, /

to provide vessel traffic services and maritime safety information./

We make every effort

to keep our coasts and vessels out of harm’s way.//

We see to it that our seafarers in distant waters are protected from pirates.//

To keep our marine environment healthy and intact,/

We conserve and manage our marine ecosystems. //

The ‘green ship’ that leaves fewer carbon footprints

shows our commitment to keeping our ocean cleaner.//

For safer and cleaner oceans,

we will keep shining our guiding light like a sentinel that is always there . //

Like a seagull that just loves to fly over the sea and makes it their home, /

We / just love our sea and want to bring it closer to our lives. //

Nurturing the marina industry/

and promoting the marine industry,/

Such efforts are being made to make more people look to the seas and oceans//.

and reach their full potential

in the field of maritime and fisheries. /

By expanding the market that directly connects producers and consumers,/

by nurturing locally-based processing industries,/

that seafood better finds their way onto the shelves and tables.//

We will expand marine recreation and leisure opportunities and access

so that people can find refreshment away from their busy lives.//
