Korean Company Wins Additional KRW 430 Billion Offshore Plant Service Project in Indonesia
- MOF providing full support for Korean companies to expand overseas in the offshore plant service sector
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-Hyung) announced that a consortium participated in by GAS Entec, a Korean offshore plant design and renovation company, and local Indonesian firms, has won a contract to build and operate a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fuel supply chain in the Sulawesi and Maluku region of Indonesia on March 14th.
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has been providing comprehensive support to support offshore plant service companies seeking to enter Indonesia, including a series of procedural engagements from business development to final project orders and providing of market information, through the Korea-Indonesia Offshore Research Cooperation Center (located in Jakarta).
The new project signed by the Korean company is worth approximately KRW 430 billion and follows the successful bid for the KRW 130 billion Nusa Tenggara project on February 23rd, with the two projects totaling up to KRW 560 billion. The latest project is especially noteworthy as GAS Entec will carry out the entire construction process for the Sulawesi and Maluku region, including construction, renovation, and operation of the offshore LNG fuel supply chain.
