As Typhoon Jongdari, the 9th of the year, headed north toward Korea, the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries inspected the readiness to reduce damage in the marine and fisheries sector from the typhoon at the MOF’s comprehensive situation room and requested preemptive safety measures to prevent casualties. Typhoon Jongdari formed in the sea southwest of Okinawa early in the morning and moved north toward the Korean Peninsula. It is expected to pass through the sea west of Jeju Island and advance to the west coast before weakening into a tropical depression.
