On March 27th (Wednesday), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-Hyung, hereinafter “MOF”), the Republic of Korea Navy (Chief of Naval Operations Yang Yong Mo), and the Korea Coast Guard (Commissioner General Kim Jong-Uk, hereinafter “KCG”) jointly held the 3rd MOF-Navy-KCG Policy Council at the Incheon KCG Headquarters. The Policy Council was first established in 2019 under the leadership of MOF to strengthen national maritime power, coordinate and cooperate on maritime policies, and solidify the tripartite cooperation system. After being postponed due to COVID-19, the Council resumed in 2022, hosted by the Navy, and now marks its third year.
