Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries hosted the '1st Seafood Exports Countermeasures Meeting' at the Sejong Ministry building on 22 February.

Members from 5 seafood export support institutions (the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, Korea Fisheries Association, Korea Fishery Trade Association, and Korea Maritime Institute), overseas Trade Support Centers that provide local assistance related to seafood exports, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries departments that support export policies took part in the meeting either offline or virtually.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held a meeting to consolidate all export support capacity of relevant institutions, by establishing the 『Seafood Export One Team』, ascertain export conditions, and discuss plans to increase exports, with the goal of delivering on the 2023 seafood export goal of 'USD 3.5 billion' despite challenging external conditions.
