The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF; Minister Kang Do-hyung) announced that it would be holding the Ocean Day Commemoration Ceremony on Some Sevit in Seoul on Friday, May 30. Observed every May 31, Ocean Day is a statutory commemorative day established in 1996 to inform the public about the ocean's economic, environmental, and historical/cultural importance and instill pride among those working in the maritime and fisheries industries.
