The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF; Minister Kang Do-hyung) held the “Onnuri Gift Certificate Redemption in Traditional Markets for Korean New Year” event at 158 traditional markets nationwide from Thursday, January 23 to Monday, January 27 in an effort to ease the burden of consumer prices during the Korean New Year. On the first day of the event, Minister Kang Do-hyung visited Dongbu Market in Mokpo and toured a number of seafood stores in order to observe supply and demand trends and the prices of fresh seafood, as well as visiting a discount event booth to hear opinions.
