The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries conducted a mock exercise to respond to red tide in 2024 jointly with Jeollanam Province and Goheung-gun in the Udu sea area of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam Province. Since red tide algae can easily spread to the surrounding area via tide current, it is important to control them at an early stage. Accordingly, a joint public-private response training was conducted for inspection of and familiarization with the response system to control red tide algae quickly.
