On June 13, the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries visited the Bieung Port in Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do, a region highly populated with fishing vessels, to inspect the implementation status of safety management measures for fishing vessels. Minister Kang also boarded a fishing vessel to thoroughly check the availability and working status of life-saving facilities and listened to the challenges of the fishing vessel crew and officials.
