On June 13, the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries visited Jeollabuk-do Province to inspect the development site of the Saemangeum New Port. During his visit to the development site, Minister Kang inspected the project status and readiness against wind and water disasters, and reviewed the impact the of the development projects in the Gunsan Port area, including Saemangeum, on the surrounding marine environment.
