On June 5, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries hosted the 2024 Korea International Cooperation Conference on Oceans and Fisheries * at The Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel. On the same day, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strengthening International Cooperation with Kenya, a major coastal state in Africa, on the occasion of the conference. In addition to strengthening cooperation in the field of fisheries and fishing communities, Korea and Kenya will work towards enhancing cooperation in the maritime sector to address the shortage of seafarers in Korea.
