On October 16th, Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries inspected the safety management status of Korean vessels operating in waters near the Israeli-Hamas armed conflict from the General Situation Room of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The Minister gave instructions to strengthen monitoring of Korean ships as well as ships with Korean nationals in their crew in waters near the conflict zone to support their safe operation, and to keep close watch for potential challenges faced by shipping 
firms.
