Launching ceremony for the 1st phase of the 「National Communication Group on Seafood Safety

On March 8th, Minister Cho Seung Hwan of Oceans and Fisheries hosted the launching ceremony for the 1st phase of the National Communication Group on Seafood Safety.
 
The National Communication Group on Seafood Safety has been established to communicate accurate information on seafood safety in accordance with the recent increase in interest and concern among the general public with regard to seafood. The National Communication Group on Seafood Safety, comprising a total of 30 members, will remain active for 10 months from March to December. The Communication Group plans to play a role as a communication channel between the government and the public, including the communication of seafood safety information, such as seasonal risk factors, participation in safety management sites, such as seafood quarantine sites, and make policy recommendations on seafood safety.
