  • Achieved 80 million won in fishing income through the convergence industrialization of fishing communities

    (’17) 49 million won → (’30) 80 million won (annual growth of 3.8%)

  • Create 40,000 quality jobs in the fishery industry

    3,100 pieces of job have been created every year since 2019

Offshore fishing

Vision

  • Transition to sustainable fisheries where the marine environment and fisehries coexist;

Goal

  • Amount of offshore resources: ('17)3.04 million tons → ('30)503 (maximum sustainable production resources)
  • TAC management target species catch rate: ('17)25%→('30)80% (55%p increase)

  • [Direction] Reorganization into a resources-managed fishing structure; expanding TAC and eradicating illegal fishing
Aquaculture

Vision

  • Improved income; Supply of quality eco-friendly aquaculture products

Goal

  • Aquaculture fish production: ('17) 86,000 tons → ('30) 200,000 tons (2.3 times increase)
  • Smart farm supply ratio: (’17)2.5% → (’30) 12.5% (5 times larger)

  • Small fisheries food companies: ('17) 28 → ('30) 100 (an increase of 6 locations per year)
  • Exports of seafood: ('17) $23.3 billion → ('30) $3.4 billion (an increase of 3% per year)

Distribution/consumption

Vision

  • Supply of fresh and safe seafood at lower cost

Goal

  • Distribution cost ratio of seafood price: (’17)51.8% → (’30)40% (11.8%p decrease)
  • Inflation fluctuations in popular fish species (6 species): (’17)25.6%→(’30)10% (15.6%p decrease)
