Vice Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Nam Jae-heon visited aquaculture farms on Jeju Island on Thursday, July 23, to inspect feeding, stocking density adjustments, and responses to high water temperatures, and encourage fishers. The visit was conducted to review response measures and prevent damage from the recent prolonged heatwave. Vice Minister Nam closely examined farm conditions, checked the operation of response equipment, including bottom-layer seawater supply facilities and liquid oxygen systems, and urged operators to follow management guidelines and promptly report any damage.
