Preparatory Office Launched Two Years ahead of the Fourth UN Ocean Conference

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), led by Minister Hwang Jong-woo, launched the Preparatory Office for UNOC4, an interministerial body, to ensure the successful hosting of the Fourth UN Ocean Conference (UNOC4) in Korea in June 2028. A plaque-unveiling ceremony marking the launch was held on Monday, August 3, with the heads of the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST), and the Korea Fisheries Resources Agency (FIRA) in attendance.
