Minister of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Hwang Jong-woo attended on Friday, June 12 a luncheon meeting with executives of the Korea Shipping Association composed of representatives from shipping companies to discuss the impact of the prolonged Middle East war on the shipping industry and countermeasures, and to listen to the difficulties faced by the industry. Minister Hwang expressed gratitude for the hard work of the shipping industry, which is steadfastly fulfilling its duties while guarding the front lines of Korea's import and export logistics amid the prolonged war in the Middle East. At the same time, he requested the industry's cooperation and support for the seamless implementation of national policy tasks such as the relocation of shipping companies to Busan and entry into Arctic shipping routes.
