Minister of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Hwang Jong-woo held the 2026 Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Policy Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, May 14. During the meeting, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries explained the five implementation strategies* prepared under the policy vision “Great Leap Forward in the Era of Arctic Shipping Routes, Vitality of the People's Economy, and Realization of Balanced Growth in the Republic of Korea” and engaged in in-depth discussions with the Policy Advisory Committee members regarding measures to enhance field-level acceptance of these strategies and maximize their effectiveness.
