The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF; Minister Hwang Jong-woo) and the Ministry of Education (MOE; Minister Choi Gyo-jin) will jointly hold a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony and an On-site Meeting for Fostering Maritime Talent in the Maritime Capital Region at Pusan National University on Monday, May 11 to cooperate in fostering maritime talent linked to strategic industries in the southeastern region. The signing ceremony and meeting were organized as part of the People's Sovereign Government's Great Transformation of National Territory (5-Pole, 3-Special Zone Development Strategy) to strengthen cooperation in fostering maritime talent in conjunction with the shipbuilding and maritime industries, which are key drivers of regional development.
