Minister of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Hwang Jong-woo inspected the situation regarding the Middle East war at the Ministry's disaster video conference room on Wednesday, March 25 as his first official engagement following his inauguration. As the Middle East war enters its fourth week, 26 South Korean vessels and 178 crew members remain inside the Strait of Hormuz. During the meeting, Minister Hwang received a briefing on the locations of those vessels, supply of daily necessities, crew changes, and cooperation framework with the relevant agencies.
