Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Chun Jae-soo attended the naming ceremony for HMM’s 9,000 TEU methanol-powered container ship HMM Clover held at HD Hyundai Samho in Yeongam, Jeollanam Province on Thursday, November 20.  “The nine ships built along with the Clover are the first methanol-powered container ships* introduced by a Korean shipping company and will be a starting point for Korea to lead the transition to eco-friendly, low-carbon ships. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries will leave no stone unturned in supporting the acceleration of the eco-friendly transition of the domestic fleet,” Minister Chun said in in his congratulatory remarks.
