Accepting Applications for Participation in the Korea Maritime Mobility·Safety Expo 2026 and Beginning Visitor Pre-registration
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF; Minister Hwang Jong-woo) and Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) announced that they would open the official website (kmse.co.kr) for the Korea Maritime Mobility·Safety Expo 2026 on Friday, July 24 and begin accepting applications for exhibition participation and pre-registration for visitors.
Now in its 9th year, the Korea Maritime Mobility·Safety Expo 2026 will be held from Monday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 28 at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX). This year's Expo will be held in conjunction with the 2026 World Maritime Day commemorative events (October 26–27) and Korea Maritime Week (October 28–29) co-hosted by the Republic of Korea and International Maritime Organization (IMO*).
* IMO (International Maritime Organization): A specialized UN agency that promotes the enactment, amendment, and implementation of international regulations related to safety and environment in the shipping and shipbuilding sectors (176 member states and 3 associate member states)
At this year's event, the Exhibition Hall will feature a Smart Autonomous Navigation Technology Zone showcasing the excellence of Korea's maritime mobility industry, an Eco-Friendly Mobility & Carbon Neutrality Zone, and a Maritime Advanced Safety & AI Disaster Response Zone. Export consultation meetings with invited domestic and international buyers and technology briefings will be held in the Business Hall. Visitors can also experience a media tunnel introducing maritime technologies and policies.

"I hope this expo serves as an opportunity for widely promoting the competitiveness of Korea's maritime mobility industry and the excellence of maritime safety technologies while supporting Korean companies' expansion to overseas markets," said Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Hwang Jong-woo.
"I expect the Korea Maritime Mobility·Safety Expo 2026 to serve as an opportunity for Busan, Korea's maritime capital, to lead global standards in the safety of eco-friendly maritime mobility," said Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Jeon Jae-soo.
