Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Chun Jae-soo visited an offshore fish cage farm in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam Province on Wednesday, September 3 to inspect the status of high water temperature response and safety management and laud fishermen's hard work. This on-site inspection is intended to prevent safety accidents in advance by checking the response to high water temperatures as the heat wave continues in early September and confirming safety management practices that can easily be overlooked due to the heat. In the case of Chungcheongnam Province’s Cheonsuman Bay that the Minister visited, there has been no damage yet; as the high water temperature advisory was upgraded to a warning on August 28, however, it was necessary to examine the response status closely.
