Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Chun Jae-soo held a meeting with the Federation of Korean Seafarers' Unions leadership on Friday, August 22 to discuss key issues related to seafarers and hear the unions' opinions on seafarer policies. A total of 14 people attended the meeting, including Chairman Park Seong-yong and executive committee members from the Federation of Korean Seafarers' Unions. At this event, Minister Chun held in-depth discussions with the attendees on the unions' suggestions for improving the treatment of seafarers as well as various issues currently facing seafarers.
